I'm Yan Wang (鸭哥). I've spent ~20 years in AI research and engineering — Columbia PhD, 40+ academic papers, 20+ US patents. And I now focus on what happens when AI stops being a tool you use and starts being a collaborator you manage.

This blog, Computing Life, has been running since 2012. Over 370 articles, bilingual (English / 中文), covering AI methodology and engineering practice. Occasionally astrophotography. The recurring theme: how to think clearly about technology and build systems that actually work.

A few ideas I keep returning to:

Context Engineering: the quality of AI output is determined by the context you construct, not the prompt you write
AI Management: treating AI agents the way you'd manage a team — with delegation, review, and escalation
Builder's Mindset: the gap between using AI tools and building with AI is where the real leverage lives

I co-founded Superlinear Academy, where we teach AI Builders through courses and an active community (3000+ alumni). The courses are practical and project-based: AI Coding, AI Builders, AI Architect, AI Product.

这个博客叫Computing Life，从 2012 年开始写作，现在有 370 多篇文章，中英双语（English / 中文）。主要写 AI 方法论和工程实践，偶尔写天文摄影。贯穿始终的主题是：怎么对技术做清晰的思考，怎么构建真正能用的系统。

几个我反复写到的概念：

Context Engineering：AI 输出质量取决于你构建的上下文，而非 prompt 本身
AI Management：把管理 AI agent 当作管理团队来做，需要授权、review 和 escalation
Builder 思维：用 AI 工具和用 AI 构建之间的差距，才是真正的杠杆所在
