## Personal Resource Management

My understanding of personal resource management contains two parts, managing time/project and accumulated information.

I use [trello](https://trello.com/) for time and project management, especially when collaborating with others. There are a whole bunch of awesome tutorials of trello, and I don't want to repeat them here. The reason why I love trello is, rather than a simple list tool, it emphasizes the importance of big picture and maintenance along with time. This gives me both linear (i.e. in an order of time) and non-linear (i.e. random) access of the different aspects/tasks of a project.

For information other than project (such as code, memes and documents), I use OneNote to manage, and especially search them. For example, I put all the documents of the code within a OneNote notebook, with proper descriptions and tags. So whenever I want to reuse some code snippet, a simple search within the notebook will give me a link to the git repo. The memes are managed in a similar way with manual tags (and actually OneNote can also search the texts within the inserted images). That's why I can always find a funny meme to reply on facebook in no time.

In summary, effective accumulation with big picture, and reusability/searchability, are the two key factors of personal resource management.
